Warranty & Returns

What is your return policy?

Our returns policy is written on every receipt and complies with ACCC standards for Australian Consumer Law. To return an item, please bring it back to the store of purchase with the receipt where our staff will do our best to help.

Payment types accepted  in store

What type of payments are accepted in store?

Well, cash is king but we also accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, BasicsCard and UnionPay without any charge. We also provide a cash out facility in many of our stores for your convenience. We do not accept cheque or American Express payments.

Where can I find my nearest store?

Just look here and use our handy store finder. From here you will be able to find out contact numbers, trading times and directions to your nearest store

I’ve lost some property in store, what can I do?

Call the store or return to the store as we will keep any lost property that we find for a while hoping for an owner to come forward. 

Products & availability

How come I can’t find a particular item?

Sometimes we buy only a small run of products to keep our range fresh for you. This means that certain items run out fast and may never be stocked again. Other times we sell out so fast we can’t get the stock delivered quickly enough. Items with no stock levels don’t display on the website.

The product I want is out of stock, when will it return?

There is no easy answer to this question. Some items are ‘one off’s’ and we may not see them again. Others come from overseas and may take months between ordering and arrival and still other items may only be out of stock for a day or two. Contact us for more information on specific items that are out of stock.

The item colour wasn’t as shown or described on the site, why?

We try to give as much detail on colour and size but ranges and product lines do change frequently and we can’t keep up with the hundreds of new products we get every month. The best method is to go into store and touch and feel the product yourself.

Do you sell online?

Not at the moment.

Cheap as Chips is only for certain people. That's why the people that work here tend to share a 'work hard and have fun while you're doing it' attitude. Our customers don't want semi-commitment, nor do your workmates. If you think that’s you, head over here and see what we have to offer you.

Suppling us with goods

I’m a supplier and would like to offer goods for sale, where can I do this?

We are very picky about what we purchase. Our buyers literally travel the world in search of items that:

– Provide great value for our customers
– Meet strict quality checks
– Totally comply with Australian or equivalent standards
– Has secure packaging with printed barcodes

Please note we do NOT sell at normal prices so we are not interested in purchasing unless we can sell to our customers at below normal rates so please don't waste your time or ours with frivolous offers.

If you believe you have the right deal then contact us through the contact us page and by choosing the buying drop down. Please provide full details (including prices, packing details and product description) of the items you have to offer.

Bulk purchasing

Can I purchase in bulk from you?

Yes you can. There will be minimum quantity restrictions (usually full carton lots) but the savings are definitely there. To assist us in helping you with this make a note of the item code for the items you are interested in and we will contact you with quantity breaks and prices

Old website

Where has the old website gone?

Website heaven I’m afraid. We hope that this new site will be much easier to use and much quicker than the old site. When we decided to stop selling online a change was required – this is the result. We hope you like it. Let us know by visiting our facebook page and letting us know.

I don’t get a physical catalogue delivered to me, how can I fix this?

Just go to our contact page and send us your details including your address and we will pass this info on to our distributors. Alternatively, sign up to our emailed version here)

Cheap as Chips work actively with a lot of charities and a good number in local areas see here. If you think you have a valid request please contact us using the contact page (insert link to contact us page) and we will consider your request.
